  1. How do I find the show site? Spokane Fair & Expo Center, Spokane, WA Driving Directions: INPHC Paint Horse Show / NWSSA Auction & Futurities
  1. Are there other futurities available for my baby at the same show? Yes! It’s a great futurity show! In addition to the NWSSA futurities, there are also PNPHC futurities, Washington Bred Futurities, and New Northwest Breeders Futurities. Check out the Futurities
  1. Who is eligible for the yearling longeline futurity? All APHA registered babies – colored or solid, sired by eligible stallions from the 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010 auctions are eligible for the yearling longeline futurity. You don’t need to have purchased a breeding at the auction to show in this – any APHA baby sired by any stallion on the list can! Click here to find the current list of stallions.
  1. Are all babies by a certain stallion eligible for the futurities? No, this is a closed futurity. That means in order to compete in the weanling portion of the futurities you must either purchase the breeding at the auction (or from someone else who did) or be the stallion owner and have your stallion in the auction.
  1. Can I show a baby at the futurity even if I didn’t buy the breeding at the auction? Yes and No. Not in the NWSSA weanling futurities. You must purchase a breeding at the auction (or from someone who did purchase it at the auction) to compete in the weanling futurities. All yearlings are eligible for the yearling longeline if they are sired by a stallion who was in one (or more) of the last four years auctions. Plus there are the NW Breeders Futurity, PNPHC Futurity and WA Bred Futurity, please contact each of these programs to find out specifics.
  1. You talk about corresponding years auctions, what do you mean? Each futurity is on a three year cycle. Example: You purchase a breeding at the 2009 auction, breed your mare in 2010, she foals in 2011 and you show that baby in the 2011 weanling futurities. In 2012 your baby is eligible for the yearling longeline. In addition, all 2011 foals sired by eligible stallions who were in the 2009 auction will be eligible for the 2012 yearling longeline futurities - not just those produced by breedings bought at the 2009 auction.
  1. Can I make a Phone in bid on a futurity breeding? Yes, phone bids are accepted. Visa & MasterCard accepted for these bids, check out the streaming auction page for phone numbers.
  1. Do I have to pay for the breeding the night of the auction? There are three payment options: You can pay for half of the breeding the night of the auction with the second half due by the 15th of November. You can use money won at the NWSSA futurities that weekend to pay for at least 50% and up to the full amount of the purchase. And of course, you can always pay in full the night of the auction. We are now able to accept Visa or MasterCard!!!
  1. What if I win money in that day’s futurities? Congratulations! If you win money in the NWSSA futurities you may apply those to any breeding you purchase the night before. We’re sorry but we cannot use money won in other futurities at the show as a breeding payment.
  1. How are the proceeds of the auction split - 2008/2010? $1000 off the top to Longline Futurities, 60% of the proceeds of the auction are paid out to the corresponding foals in the mare owners division, 20% of the proceeds of the auction are paid out to the corresponding foals in the stallion owners division, 20% of the proceeds goes to NWSSA operations.
  1. When will the winning payments be mailed? Winning futurity payments will be mailed within one week following the futurities, if your file is complete. If foal was shown on a Work Order number the money is held until copy of registration papers have been received.

  1. How do I request a roll over? To request a roll over you must call and send a letter to the NWSSA Secretary requesting a roll over and the reason why you need the roll over. 1. As a stallion owner can I have more than two stalls? We are almost always able to accommodate those who want more stalls but we never know for sure until right before the show. If you want more stalls indicate that on the stall form and send it in to the INPHC Stall Reservations, with the proper payment. If we are not able to accommodate you with the number of stalls that you request in the stallion barn we will have to transfer some of them to the show barns, but YOU WILL HAVE STALLS somewhere.
  1. Why haven’t I heard back from the NWSSA Secretary? If you haven’t heard back from the NWSSA secretary, I'm more than likely out of town. But when out of town I will try and remember to put a message of when I will return. Also if for some odd reason I do not receive your email please try calling, normally I'm available after 6:00 pm. If you can’t find the answer to your question on the FAQ’s list or the form you need on the website. Please email or call Leila Styer, (509) 635-1430 or any one of the Committee Members.
